This information applies only to vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of over 3.5 tonnes fitted with a toll box (e.g. the 'Toll Box over 3 m high' or 'Commercial Toll Box over 3 m and over 3.5 t' from maut1.de).
You can drive on tollways in Austria. Signals are exchanged with the toll box via toll bridges above the motorways while driving, and the toll payable for your vehicle is allocated to your toll box.

You will find this symbol on toll booths right before entering Austrian special toll sections (e.g. Brenner).
For vehicles of up to and including 3.5 tonnes, tolls in Austria must be paid via the (digital) vignette and, where applicable, the (digital) special toll (Brenner, Karawanks Tunnel etc.) (e.g. via our partner mautwelt.de). These vehicles are not permitted to use the GO lane on special toll routes.
