All Telepass toll boxes (the serial number on the narrow side of the toll box begins with ‘000490xxx’ or all Premium-toll boxes) can be used both for the ferry to Sicily and for paying tolls in Sicily. Please simply use the 'T'- or ‘Telepass’ lane here.
Axxès toll boxes (serial number on the narrow side of the toll box begins with ‘03xxx’) cannot currently be used in Sicily or on the ferry to Sicily:
- For the ferry, please pay on site.
- In Sicily, there are open toll stations without barriers where the FreeFlow system is planned but not yet implemented. No toll is to be paid here. At stations with barriers, please simply use the manual payment lanes and draw a ticket to pay the toll on site.
- As soon as the activation date for this toll box has been confirmed, we will inform you as the owner of the toll box and/or subscriber to our newsletter
