No "Beep" from the Toll Box

Modified on Tue, 21 Apr at 11:55 AM

If your 'Toll Box up to 3 m' does not emit any signal tones, this is not a problem.

If the problem is that the barriers at the toll stations do not open automatically, please click here.

Your license plate number is registered with the toll operators via maut1. There are so-called 'FreeFlow Systems' in which there are no toll booths with barriers – on the contrary, the toll charge is not assigned via data exchange by radio signal between the toll station and the box, but exclusively via license plate recognition. This means that photos of your license plate on the vehicle are taken and these are compared with the toll operator's database.

In 'FreeFlow Systems' in particular, the toll charge is assigned to you by maut1 and billed normally solely on the basis of license plate recognition. It is therefore completely normal and even to be expected that the toll box does not emit a beep.

Please do not register your license plate additionally in the countries that are covered by the Toll Box.
